RESEARCH PROJECTS

SystematIC is involved in several research projects and in National and European programs

Microthrust-space-research-project

MicroThrust is a European consortium within the European Commission Framework Programme 7 (FP7) targeting advanced in-space propulsion technologies for solar system exploration. The consortium aims to develop a key component in facilitating exploration missions: a technology that can substantially reduce the cost of earth observation missions. Building on the framework of a successful ESA study, the MicroThrust team of leading academics, research institutions and space companies has developed a conceptual design of a very small, yet highly performing electrical propulsion system. SystematIC contributed to the required electronic innovation in the form of an efficient low-power very-high-voltage driver.

The Delfi program is a development line of nanosatellites at the Delft University of Technology, to provide hands-on education and training to students as well as technology demonstration for Dutch space industry and research and development on the nano-satellite spacecraft bus. The program started in November 2004 with Delfi-C3 which was launched and has been operating successfully since 28 April 2008. In 2013, Delfi-n3Xt was launched. Both satellites had achieved their mission objectives during the first three months in orbit.
